ASEAN Youth Meeting: From Campus to Career

On Monday, 27 April 2026, six students from Tabgha Christian Junior High School were given the meaningful opportunity to participate in the ASEAN Youth Meeting: From Campus to Career, hosted by Bukit Panjang Government High School in Singapore.

This initiative, aligned with the Ministry of Education Singapore’s efforts to strengthen ASEAN awareness, brought together students from Singapore and across the ASEAN region to explore future-ready skills and regional career opportunities.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our students engaged attentively in a series of student-led presentations that explored:

●     Global trends shaping ASEAN’s future workforce

●     Key skills needed to thrive in an evolving world

These presentations were not only informative but also demonstrated strong research, collaboration, and critical thinking among the presenting students.

Insights from the Panel

A highlight of the programme was the panel discussion, where experienced mentors shared valuable perspectives on future-proofing careers. The panelists challenged students to think deeper, ask meaningful questions, and consider how they can prepare themselves for a rapidly changing global landscape.

Our students witnessed firsthand how knowledge connects with real-world application—an important reminder that learning is not confined to textbooks, but is alive in conversations, experiences, and exposure.

Experiencing School Culture

Following the session, students were given a school tour, during which they experienced the learning environment and culture at BPGHS. This provided a broader perspective on how schools in the region nurture student growth, independence, and global awareness.

Partnership that Matters

We are truly grateful for this opportunity to collaborate with our partner school, Bukit Panjang Government High School. Experiences like this strengthen not only students’ understanding of ASEAN but also build bridges of friendship, respect, and shared learning.

This experience reminds us that :

●     Exposure shapes perspective

●     Dialogue builds understanding

●     Collaboration prepares our students for the future

As a school, we remain committed to opening doors for our students—so they are not only academically equipped, but also globally aware and ready to make meaningful contributions in the ASEAN community and beyond.
