A Beautiful Beginning: MPLS at TK Kristen Tabgha
Every new school year begins with a special story a story filled with hope, excitement, new friendships, and meaningful first experiences. At TK Kristen Tabgha, the MPLS program became a beautiful beginning for children and parents as they stepped into a new learning journey together.
The journey began with Parents Orientation Day, a meaningful session designed to warmly welcome parents into the TK Kristen Tabgha family. During this special moment, parents were introduced to the school’s vision, learning programs, daily routines, school environment, and the important role of collaboration between teachers and families.
More than MPLS sharing information, Parents Orientation Day created a space for trust, connection, and shared understanding. Parents were able to meet the teachers who would accompany their children throughout the school year. They listened to explanations, shared their thoughts, and prepared themselves emotionally for their children’s first steps into school life.
Then came the most anticipated moment the children’s first day at school.
With small bags on their shoulders and mixed feelings in their hearts, the children arrived at TK Kristen Tabgha. Some entered the school with bright smiles and great excitement, while others held tightly to their parents’ hands, feeling nervous about the unfamiliar environment.
Every reaction was welcomed with patience, love, and understanding.
The teachers greeted each child warmly, helping them feel safe, accepted, and valued. Through songs, games, stories, creative activities, and joyful interactions, the children slowly began to explore their new surroundings. They became familiar with their classrooms, playground, learning areas, teachers, and new friends.
Little by little, nervous faces turned into happy smiles. Quiet children began to participate, hesitant steps became more confident, and unfamiliar spaces slowly started to feel like home.
During the MPLS activities, the children also learned school routines, such as greeting teachers and friends, placing their belongings properly, washing their hands, taking turns, sharing, listening, and participating in classroom activities. These small experiences became meaningful foundations for developing independence, responsibility, confidence, and kindness.
For some children, being separated from their parents was not easy. There were tears, long hugs, and moments of uncertainty. However, behind every tear was a brave child learning to trust, grow, and take a new step forward. With gentle encouragement from teachers and loving support from parents, the children gradually discovered that school could be a safe and joyful place.
MPLS at TK Kristen Tabgha was not only about introducing the school environment. It was about helping every child feel that they belong. It was about building emotional security, creating meaningful connections, and showing children that learning can be filled with joy, love, and discovery.
This beautiful beginning was also made possible through the trust and cooperation of parents. When families and teachers walk together, children receive the support they need to grow confidently and happily.
As we begin this new chapter, we are grateful for every smile, every brave step, every new friendship, and every precious moment shared during MPLS.
